Quick Questions related to the info in this page:

Q:What is the difference between Rhino and Matrix ?

A:Rhino is a very powerful CAD program for general use. You can build cars, ships, shoes, etc with it. Matrix is an interface specially designed for jewelry designers, and uses Rhino as an engine for CAD. Simply said: when you click the go button on the head builder in Matrix, the program will send a series of commands to Rhino to build it according to the settings that you had chosen before.

Q:Can I build the same ring in Rhino what you can in Matrix ?

A:Yes you can, but you have to be patient. You will have to build your profiles, calculate finger size, use a simple circle instead of a ready made diamond etc.

Matrix also gives you a easy preset rendering with all the materials of the jewelry trade: yellow gold, platinum, pink sapphire , you name it , Matrix will have it.

Q:Can I do the same rendering on Rhino what you do with Matrix ?

A:Yes, just will take you a little bit longer until you find the perfect gold color, or create a diamond like object. If you design jewelry for living, you cannot afford to spend too much time playing with general options. Every extra minute spent on the job will eat away your profit from it. Rendering with Matrix is professional, takes just seconds and WILL SELL THE JOB! That's the key! The customer likes to see their dream on picture.
